I have seen many 'reviews' of this awesome volume. Many say that the print is too small, but just think there are four (4) translations of the holy writ squeezed onto 3249 pages, considering the average 'Bible' has around 1200 to 1500 pages, that was quite a feat to get four (4) editions onto 2249 pages...yes the print is small, but considering that it contains the entire Bible to include deuterocanonicals, that was quite a feat to accomplish. This volume wasn't designed to be hauled to Bible studies or church services, but to be available for those that like to compare the differences in the translators rendering of the original languages to English for those of us that don't know Greek and/or Hebrew...I give it 5 stars, as finding a "Parallel Bible" that contains one 'Catholic Bible' is difficult, but one that contains three (3) with 'Imprimaturs' is just awesome, as it contains:1) "The New American Bible" (NAB) as read at all Masses and liturgical services of the Catholic Church in the USA. This isn't the newist version of the NAB, as they came out with a revision in 1986.2) "The New Revised Standard Version" that is an update of the "Revised Standard Version" used in the "Catechism of the Catholic Church" (CCC) newest revision.3) "The New Jerusalem Bible" that is an updated version of the "Jerusalem Bible" that is popular in many regions of the Christian world. This is the newest revision.4) "The Revised English Bible" published by Oxford University in 1989 as a revision of their 1970 edition entitled, "The New English Bible".This volume and my other Parallel Bible of four (4) popular protestant bibles makes for a very convenient set of bibles when comparing the translations becomes necessary.Use a good bright reading light, and the small font isn't that bad. Probably an 8pt "Times New Roman" style of font, as used in a newspaper. If you are familiar with the "Guideposts Parallel Bible/The Layman's Parallel Bible," the typeface is of similar size, very close to the font in a 'personal sized bible' just looks very tiny in this huge, approx. 6" x 9" x 2 1/2" thick tome. Not a 'lap' Bible and I am sure it wasn't intended to be a 'lap' bible. For me, it was an awesome buy for the purpose intended...The seller also was expeditious with their shipping, it got here nice and fast...
